“Deadly Crash”

SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA (March 2, 2017) – At least two people were tragically pronounced dead after a collision on Thursday afternoon on Highway 79, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 2:15 pm on the southbound side of Highway 79 near Gilman Springs Road. Two cars,a Prius and a Honda, were traveling at a high rate of speed when one cut the other off, sending them both down an embankment and falling almost 30 feet. Both cars overturned as a result of the impact.

Two people were tragically pronounced dead at the scene, and have been identified as Tajahnae Jones and Ronald Filetti. The second involved driver, Sherydan M. Teaney, was rushed to a hospital with major injuries, and is in unknown condition. The accident remains under investigation, however initial reports indicate the cars may have been racing.
