SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA (January 26, 2017) – A two car accident on El Camino Real left two people hospitalized on Thursday morning, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 8:15 am on El Camino Real outside the entrance to the South San Francisco BART station. Two vehicles were involved in an accident for an unknown reason.

Two people, later identified as the drivers of both vehicles, were rushed to local hospitals. One of the drivers was confirmed to have been operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested. They have been identified as 46 year old Lizardo Gomez.

“It’s very common following a traffic collision that motorists feel as if they are ok and injury free. Often times however, it may take several days for pain symptoms to show signs due to the adrenaline build up. Drivers are advised to see a doctor to ensure they are healthy and injury free following an accident,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm, a Castro Valley car accident and personal injury law firm.
