SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA (May 9, 2017) – Two vehicles were involved in a collision on the 101 Freeway on Tuesday morning, according to a California Highway Patrol report. (map)
The accident happened around 6:05 am on the southbound side of the 101 Freeway near the off-ramp for the San Francisco International Airport. A Dodge pickup truck and a Honda Civic collided for an unknown reason, leaving the Honda Civic in lanes. The pickup truck careened off the road into the bushes on the side of the freeway where it became stuck in a fence. There may also have been a chain reaction collision on the northbound side of the 101 involving a Mercedes and a Lincoln at the same time.
At least one person was injured, and an ambulance responded to the scene to tend to any injuries sustained in the accident and transported one person to the hospital. The accident remains under open investigation to determine cause and liability at this time.
“Any injured party involved in an accident will have a bodily injury claim against the negligent driver who caused the accident,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm, a car accident and personal injury law firm.
