“Highway Injury Crash”
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA (March 22, 2017) – California Highway Patrol reported an accident on Wednesday evening on Highway 101 near Cesar Chavez Street. (map)
The accident occurred at approximately 8:29 p.m., when the driver of a white tow truck traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on Highway 101 collided into the concrete center divide, north of the Cesar Chavez off-ramp. The tow truck overturned and an occupant was partially ejected from the truck, according to the CHP. Three other vehicles were involved in the collision; no other information pertaining to the other vehicles has been released.
The occupant sustained a broken leg and rescue crews were dispatched to the scene. The occupant of the truck was later transported to a local hospital for treatment. No other injuries from the accident were report. An investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability.
