“Pepper Spray Released in Mall”
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA (March 27, 2017) – Over 16 mall attendees were injured when pepper spray was emitted through the mall Monday night, according to the San Francisco Police Department. (map)
The incident occurred at approximately 8:06 p.m., when a female adolescent entered Forever 21 at the Stonestown Galleria Mall on 3251 20th Ave in San Francisco, and sprayed pepper spray in the air and fled the store along with other adolescences, according to San Francisco police Captain Mark Osuna.
Many complained of discomfort and were treated at the scene while others had their eyes washed out due to irritation cause by the pepper spray. No evacuation protocol was administered, however, several stores were closed. Police have not arrested anyone pertaining to the incident.
