SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA (January 11, 2017) – Jeanie Yee has been identified as the woman killed in a tragic accident on Wednesday, January 11th, on Union Street and Buchanan Street, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 12:15 pm at the intersection of Union Street and Buchanan Street. 76 year old Jeanie Yee was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a pickup truck towing a trailer.

Jeanie Yee was rushed to a local hospital by responding medical personnel with serious injuries, and she tragically was pronounced dead later that day. The investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability. Initial reports indicate the driver that struck Yee remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.
