The accident happened around 7:20 am on the southbound side of Highway 101 near Silver Avenue. A garbage truck and a box truck were involved in a collision for an unknown reason.
At least one party inside the box truck sustained injuries, and paramedics responded to the scene .The accident remains under open investigation to determine cause and liability at this time.
