SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA (July 5, 2017) – 11 people were injured in a crash on the Golden Gate Bridge on Wednesday afternoon, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 12:42 pm on the southbound side of the bridge when a car stopped at the toll plaza. It was then rear ended by another vehicle, and a casino bus from the Graton Casino rear ended both vehicles.
Eight people from the bus reportedly sustained injuries in the accident, and three people from one of the vehicles were also hospitalized. The bus was carrying 49 people at the time of the accident. The crash remains under investigation to determine cause and liability at this time.
