The crash occurred at approximately 1:00 p.m. when a 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe traveling northbound lost control and traveled down an embankment on the 5500 block of Regents Road, according to Officer Tony Martinez. One of the occupants in the SUV was thrown from the vehicle. The other occupant crawled out of the vehicle once it stopped.

Paramedics were dispatched to the scene. The two men, 22 and 28 years of age, sustained major injuries including head trauma and a broken back. Both men were transported to a hospital for treatment. Officers were unable to determine who was driving the vehicle. An investigation is ongoing to determine if drugs and or alcohol were factors involved in the collision.

“It’s unfortunate that motorists under the influence disregard the negative effects that may ensue from driving under the influence. Drunk drivers continue to endanger the safety of all other drivers,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm, a California car accident and personal injury attorney.”
