SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA (January 9, 2017) – Two pedestrians were struck by a car on Monday near Qualcomm Stadium, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 5:20 pm on Rancho Mission Road near Qualcomm Stadium. A man and a woman were crossing in the middle of the block near San Diego Mission Road, when they were struck by a Nissan Maxima heading north on Rancho Mission Road.

The male, identified only as a 63 year old man, suffered a dislocated and fractured shoulder, and lacerations. The female, identified as a 56 year old woman, suffered a 7 inch cut to her scalp, a dislocated collarbone, and fractures to her ribs. The driver that struck the two pedestrians reportedly remained at the scene and cooperated.
