“Pedestrians Injured”

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA (January 17, 2017) – Two pedestrians were hit by a car and injured on Tuesday evening near Genesee Avenue and Mt. Edna Drive, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 7:25 pm at the intersection of Genesee Avenue and Mt. Edna Drive. Two pedestrians, identified only as males, were struck by an unidentified car in the intersection.

Responding emergency medical personnel rushed the two pedestrians to a hospital for treatment of injuries described as moderate. The investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability.

“According to experts drivers are responsible the majority of the time for pedestrian accidents. These collisions occur when drivers are careless and fail to yield in a crosswalk or when they turn right on a red light without looking out for a pedestrian,” said a California pedestrian accident and personal injury lawyer.
