SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA (February 7, 2017) – Two people were hospitalized on Tuesday after they were struck by a distracted driver on Redwood Street, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 5:45 pm in the Oak Park neighborhood, at the intersection of Redwood Street and Sue Street. A 76 year old woman and a 12 year old boy were crossing the street in a marked crosswalk when they were struck by a vehicle whose driver reportedly was distracted by the radio.

The woman and the 12 year old boy were both rushed to a hospital, and the woman was reportedly in serious condition. The boys condition was not disclosed. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
