“Multi Car Crash”
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA (February 11, 2017) – A man was injured in a collision on Saturday morning on the 5 Freeway near Highway 52, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 10:22 am at the intersection of the 5 Freeway and Highway 52. A white Toyota Prius stopped in the first lane for unknown reasons, and a second vehicle swerved to avoid it. The Prius was then struck by a third vehicle, described as a black SUV. The impact pushed the Prius into the right shoulder and into a divider.
At least one person inside the Prius was injured and paramedics responded to the scene to tend to his injuries. The accident remains under active investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
