SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA (December 24, 2016) – According to the California Highway Patrol, two women were killed on Saturday in a single-vehicle rollover collision on the Great Southern Overland Stage Route. (map)
The CHP reported that driver Rosario Garcia Ibarra, 38, and passenger Christine Loraine Wagner, 47, were traveling southbound on the Stage Route around 10:30 a.m. when they lost control of the SUV causing the car to overturn.
The CHP states that Ibarra was careening on and off the road to avoid puddles of rain water when she veered out of control. She was ejected from the vehicle and was crushed by the SUV. Both women were pronounced dead at the scene.
“Sadly, there are no words that can comfort the victim’s family and friends as they cope with such an incredible loss,” said an attorney from Lexton Law Firm “The thoughts and prayers of our staff are with them, as well as the young people who were injured, as they try to piece together what happened.”
