The accident happened around 11:30 am at the intersection of Hornblend Street and Mission Boulevard. A woman reportedly lost control of her car and veered over a curb in the parking lot for CVS, striking a pedestrian on the sidewalk.
The pedestrian was trapped under the car, and was tragically pronounced dead after being extricated by emergency personnel. The accident remains under active investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
