SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA (January 26, 2017) –A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a car on Thursday in the 1700 block of West Washington Street, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 11:12 pm on Thursday. The pedestrian was crossing West Washington Street in the 1700 block near India Street when he was struck by a 2016 Buick Encore heading westbound.

The pedestrian was rushed to a local hospital, where he was sadly pronounced dead. The 32 year old driver of the car remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities in their ongoing investigation.
