SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA (February 28, 2017) – At least one person was killed in a two car accident on Interstate 805 on Tuesday morning, according to a California Highway Patrol report. (map)
The accident happened around 4:44 a.m. on the northbound side of Interstate 805, near University Avenue. A gray 2017 Nissan Sentra and a white Toyota Highlander were involved in a collision for an unknown reason, resulting in one vehicle crashing into the center divider. The impact was enough to trap one person inside their car and another party was seen laying in the center divider. There may also have been a pedestrian involved according to reports.
At least one person was tragically killed as a result of injuries sustained in the accident. The condition of others involved is unknown at this time, and the investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability.
