“Pedestrian vs. Vehicle Collision”
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA (February 9, 2017) – A 44-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle on the 11600 block of Scripps Poway Parkway south of Angelique Street, according to the San Diego Police Department. (map)
The collision occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m., when a 42-year-old female driver of a 4-Door Mazada failed to stop a a red light and collided with a 44-year-old pedestrian crossing on the 11600 block of Scripps Poway Parkway. The pedestrian was transported to Scripps La Jolla Hospital where she was treated for six fractured vertebrae and a broken rib. The driver of the Mazda remained at the scene and was released shortly before 1:00 pm.
Police are currently investigating the accident to determine the cause.
