Two Men Killed in Car Accident at 9th Street and Bobbeth Drive
Two men were killed in a fatal collision at the intersection of 9th Street and Bobbeth Drive. The crash occurred at around 7:30 p.m. The victims were identified as Jose Blas Gonzales-Torres, 30 and Juan Otero-Acosta, 34.
According to CHP reports, a 2004 Nissan 350z was traveling at around 80 mph when for reasons that are still unclear, it lost control and veered off the roadway at the 700 block of East Ninth Street, crashing head-on into a cinder-block wall.
The driver and passenger were both killed. Investigators are still trying to piece together what happened in the crash and it is unclear if alcohol was a factor.
