SALINAS, CA (January 24, 2017) (Map) – A two vehicle collision occurred on the northbound 101 Highway near Laurel Drive. The accident happened at about 1:20 p.m. yesterday afternoon. The involved vehicles are described as a light colored Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck and a 70’s muscle car.
According to the CHP report, injuries and damages were reported following the crash, and both vehicles were stopped on the right hand shoulder of the highway. Emergency crews arrived to attend to those injured.
A dog was found in one of the vehicles, but it is unknown if the dog was injured. Animal Control was called to take the dog away to a local animal facility/hospital.
The cause of the accident and types of injuries are not yet known. The investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability.
