“Pedestrian Killed”

SALINAS, CALIFORNIA (December 24, 2016) – A pedestrian was killed after a fatal accident at the intersection of Highway 101 and Boronda Road on Saturday, according to several local news sources. (map)

The accident happened around 10:30 am at the intersection of Highway 101 and Boronda Road. A pedestrian was found lying in the road, with the responsible vehicle nowhere in sight.

Tragically, the pedestrian was pronounced dead as a result of their injuries. At this time authorities are unsure if the pedestrian was on the freeway at the time of the accident, or fell off of the nearby overpass before being struck. The investigation is ongoing.
