
Elderly Woman Died After Making a U-Turn on CA-68
SALINAS, CALIFORNIA (December 16, 2016) – A woman died Friday afternoon in a traffic collision on Highway 68 near Stephanie Road, reported The Californian. (map)
The crash occurred at about 3:17 p.m. on Highway 68 when the woman, identified as Jo Ann Eslinger, 89, of Salinas, made a U-Turn in front of a 2011 Land Rover.
Sadly, Jo Ann Eslinger was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Land Rover was driven by a 16-year-old whose name was not released. The 16-year-old remained at the scene and cooperated with police. It is unknown if the 16-year-old suffered any injuries.
The cash remains under investigation.
