Sadie Andrews Killed in Tragic Accident at Bruster’s Ice Cream

“Investigation Ongoing”

AUBURN, ALABAMA (October 14, 2017) – A 3 year old girl was tragically killed in an accident in Auburn, Alabama on Saturday afternoon, according to a local news source. (map)

Sadie Grace Andrews was attending Bruster’s Real Ice Cream in Auburn along with her family on Saturday. She and two of her five siblings were playing in a grassy area on the property near some picnic tables. The three year old stepped on the lid of a grease trap nearby, which was not locked or fastened. The lid opened as Sadie stepped on it, sending the 3 year old into the 6 foot deep grease trap, and the lid closed behind her.

Sadie was located less than ten minutes later, but was tragically pronounced dead. The accident remains under open investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.

“Sadly, there are no words that can comfort all the family members and friends of Sadie Andrews as they cope with such tragic loss,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law. “Our thoughts and prayers are with all parties affected in this tragedy as they try to piece together what happened.”
