SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA (February 23, 2017) – Pedestrian Sable Harris, 17, from Red Bluff, has been identified as the victim killed by a car on Thursday night on Interstate 80 and Madison Avenue. (map)

The accident happened at about 11:15 p.m. Harris was crossing Madison Avenue, when she was struck by a pickup truck. According to the California Highway Patrol, Harris was pronounced dead at the scene.

The pickup truck was traveling at approximately 45 mph at the time of the accident. An investigation of the accident continues in order to determine fault.
