The accident happened around 6:31 am on Wednesday morning, at the intersection of Watt Avenue and Whitney Avenue. A female pedestrian was struck by a green Dodge pickup truck for an unknown reason.
The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital and their current condition is unknown. The driver that struck the pedestrian remained at the scene and cooperated with local authorities in their investigation, which is ongoing.
“According to experts drivers are responsible the majority of the time for pedestrian accidents. These collisions occur when drivers are careless and fail to yield in a crosswalk or when they turn right on a red light without looking out for a pedestrian,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm, a California pedestrian accident and personal injury law firm.
