SACRAMENTO: Pedestrian Hit by Car on Mission Avenue and El Camino Avenue

“Investigation Ongoing”

SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA (January 29, 2017) – A pedestrian was hit by a car on Sunday on Mission Avenue and El Camino Avenue, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 7:18 pm at the intersection of Mission Avenue and El Camino Avenue. A pedestrian was struck by a Chevrolet Spark for unknown reasons.

The pedestrian was rushed to Mercy San Juan Medical Center after the accident, and reportedly sustained serious head injuries as a result of the accident. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and the investigation is ongoing at this time.

“According to experts drivers are responsible the majority of the time for pedestrian accidents. These collisions occur when drivers are careless and fail to yield in a crosswalk or when they turn right on a red light without looking out for a pedestrian,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm, a California pedestrian accident and personal injury law firm.
