
“Wrong Way Accident”
SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA (February 7, 2017) – Two people were killed in a wrong way accident on 80 Freeway near Northgate Boulevard on Tuesday, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 10:00 pm. A black Ford Mustang was seen driving the wrong way on the eastbound side of the 80 Freeway, near Northgate Boulevard. Before police could reach the scene, the Mustang crashed into a white Dodge Challenger.
The driver of the Dodge Challenger, Fernando Bravo Maya, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene as a result of injuries. The driver of the Mustang, Katherine Malek, was also killed in the accident. The investigation is ongoing, and alcohol and drugs have not been ruled out at this time.
