SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA (March 6, 2017) – At least one person was killed in a big rig crash on Interstate 5 on Monday afternoon, according to a California Highway Patrol report. (map)
The accident happened on the northbound side of Interstate 5, near Interstate 80 around 12:45 p.m. A big rig cement truck reportedly blew a tire before swerving into the center divider and overturning.
At least one person, identified as Jessica Jackson, was tragically reported to have been killed in the accident. The incident remains under active investigation at this time to determine what caused the cement truck to blow a tire, and to determine cause and liability.
