SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA (February 16, 2017) – A pedestrian was struck by a car and killed on Thursday night on Marysville Boulevard, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 7:18 pm at the intersection of Marysville Boulevard and Roanoke Avenue. A pedestrian was reportedly crossing Marysville Boulevard when he was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound.

The pedestrian tragically was pronounced dead at the scene, despite extensive efforts by police and responding medical personnel to administer lifesaving efforts. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police in their ongoing investigation.
