SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA (April 13, 2017) – A pickup truck that lost a ladder caused a three car accident on US Highway 50 on Thursday morning, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol. (map)
The accident happened around 8:50 am on the westbound side of Highway 50, near 65th Street. A black Honda Civic, a Volkswagen Jetta, and a gray Toyota Prius were swerving to avoid a ladder in lanes when they were involved in an accident.
Paramedics rushed to the scene to tend to any injuries sustained in the accident, but the condition of those involved is unknown. The truck that reportedly lost the ladder was identified as a maroon Toyota Tacoma, which stopped nearby. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
