Pickup Truck and Vehicle Involved in Possible Hit-and-Run Accident


SACRAMENTO, CA (January 4, 2017) – A pickup truck and vehicle collided yesterday at approximately 4:00 p.m. on the I-5 southbound freeway, south of Airport Boulevard.

The impact was so great that it caused the pickup truck to land in a ditch. Emergency crews including an ambulance arrived at the scene of the crash but there has been no word yet on the condition of the injured motorists.

According to investigators, a white adult male jumped into bushes to hide. Authorities detained another person who ran out into the No. 1 lane for an unknown reason. the accident remains under investigation. It is highly likely that alcohol or drugs played a role in this accident.
