SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA (March 15, 2017) – A bicyclist was killed on Wednesday evening on Marysville Boulevard when he was hit by a car, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 10:30 pm on Marysville Boulevard near Los Robles Boulevard. An unidentified bicyclist was struck by a car on Marysville Boulevard, and the involved vehicle immediately fled the scene heading northbound.

Paramedics responded to the scene and tragically declared the victim dead at the scene. The accident remains under investigation to determine cause and liability, and the authorities are on the lookout for the hit and run driver at this time.
