“Bicycle vs. Vehicle Collision”
SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA (April 2, 2017) – A bicyclist was involved in a vehicle collision on Sunday morning at the intersection of Howe Avenue and Northrop Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol. (map)
The accident occurred at approximately 7:21 a.m. The cyclist collided with a blue Hyundai Elantra. It is unknown if the cyclist was traveling in the crosswalk or bicycle lane, according to CHP officials.
The cyclist sustained non-life threatening injuries. Rescue crews were dispatched to the scene to assist the victims involved in the collision medical attention. The No. 2 and 3 lanes were closed due to the collision. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the incident.
