ROSEVILLE, CA (February 13, 2017) – A multi-vehicle accident was reported on Monday afternoon, at approximately 2:57 p.m., at Baseline Road and Fiddyment Road. (map)
Shortly before the crash, a deputy of the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department saw two drivers that were having some sort of argument out on Cirby Way near Vernon Street. One of the drivers pulled over, but the other woman, who was driving a large RV, fled the scene. The Sheriff’s Deputy followed the RV all the way to Baseline Road and Fiddyment Road. The female RV driver was speeding, ran several stop signs and caused another accident. Seven vehicles were involved and the RV caught fire. However, the Sheriff’s Deputy and bystander’s were able to get the woman out of the RV.
Roseville police and fire crews were called in to the scene to victims. A total of five victims, including the woman driving the RV, were injured in the collision. Three people were reported to have moderate injuries and were taken to the hospital while the other two injured victims suffered from unknown injuries.
An investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability.
