The accident happened back on Friday, October 13th, at the Sunshine Care facility on Monte Vista Road. 84 year old Rose Heames was seated inside a Sunshine Care transportation van being driven by Brienna Pratchner. Brienna exited the vehicle but did not put it in park, and the van began to roll backwards. Pratchner attempted to jump back into the vehicle but was unable to stop it, as 84 year old Rose Heames fell from the vehicle.

Rose Heames was rushed to the hospital, where she tragically succumbed to her injuries a short time later. The driver of the van, Brienna Pratchner, was also injured in her attempt to stop the van, and was hospitalized. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.

“Sadly, there are no words that can comfort all family members and friends as they cope with such tragic loss,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law. “Our thoughts and prayers are with all parties affected in this tragedy as they try to piece together what happened.”
