LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (March 14, 2017) – A 5 year old boy, identified as Robert Neal, was killed in a hit and run collision on 82nd Street and Towne Avenue on Tuesday evening, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 5:15 pm at the intersection of 82nd Street and Towne Avenue. Robert Neal ran out into the street for an unknown reason and was struck by a 19 year old man driving a 1990s era green Chevrolet Suburban. The driver immediately fled the scene.

Robert Neal was rushed to a hospital, but was tragically pronounced dead as a result of his injuries. The driver has since been identified as 19 year old Homer Watford, who turned himself in to police Wednesday. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
