The accident happened around 7:30 am on the northbound side of Interstate 215 near Eucalyptus Avenue. A burgundy Kia Sedona van and a red Toyota Camry were involved in an accident, possibly with a semi truck. A semi-truck at the accident site reportedly left before authorities or first responders arrived at the scene.
Paramedics responded to the scene to tend to any injuries sustained in the accident, but the condition of those involved in the crash is unknown at this time. The accident remains under investigation to determine cause and liability at this time.
“A motorist injured at the hands of a hit-and-run driver is subject to a bodily injury claim against the negligent parties insurance, assuming they have insurance once the driver is caught. If the negligent party does not carry auto insurance, injured parties will still have a claim if the motorist carries uninsured motorist coverage on their vehicle also known as UM,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm.
