RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA (February 23, 2017) – Two big rig trucks had a rear end crash Thursday morning on the 91 Freeway East between Central Avenue and 14th Street at about 2:15 a.m. (map)
The accident involved to semi-trucks, debris was reported to have spilled across the roadway and one person sustained injuries. One victim was initially trapped in one of the trucks but was able to free themselves, according to emergency workers, and the victim was later transported to the hospital.
Police, emergency, and fire crews arrived at the scene and determined that one of the semi-trucks had rear-ended the another semi-truck that was actually being towed by a “heavy tow truck.” The collision is currently under investigation.
“Parties injured are strongly advised to go to a nearby medical center following a traffic collision if one denies emergency assistance. It can sometimes take several days after the initial collision for pains to set in so it’s recommended to get checked out. All injured drivers and passengers are subject to a claim against the negligent motorist responsible,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm, a Riverside car accident and personal injury law firm.
