CHP Officer Dan Olivas reported that the big-rig crashed into the unidentified pedestrian around 5:20 a.m. The semi-truck was unable to slow down and overturned.
Officer Olivas stated that the pedestrian was hospitalized with lacerations and complaint of pain.
“The conventional wisdom is that the pedestrian always has the right of way. This is not always the case and creates a dangerous situation. Many pedestrian deaths and injuries can be avoided by both drivers and pedestrians being alert and cautious,” said pedestrian accident Attorney .
