RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA (March 15, 2017) – Four vehicles were involved in a crash on Wednesday morning on the eastbound Highway 60, west of Rubidoux Boulevard. (map)
California Highway Patrol reported the crash at about 8:52 a.m. The accident was between a silver Toyota Prius, Jeep Cherokee, gray Toyota Camry, and a black Dodge Charger. One of the drivers involved in the accident, whom had a small child and baby in their vehicle, got out of their car and ran to the right side of the road after their vehicle began smoking.
An ambulance was at the scene, but no information is available on injuries sustained in the collision. Police are investigating the accident to determine the cause and liability.
The fire department arrived at the scene to attend to any injured victims and attend to any possible vehicle fires. All lanes were cleared as well while debris was cleaned. An investigation is still ongoing to determine cause and liability.
