RIVERSIDE: Motorcyclist Lost Leg in Accident at Central Avenue and Belinda Street Intersection

“Motorcycle vs. Vehicle Collision”

RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA (May 2, 2017) – Police officers were called out to an accident that occurred at the intersection of Central Avenue and Belinda Street just east of Sierra Middle School. The accident happened at about 5:25 p.m.

According to a Riverside Police Officer Ryan Railsback, a woman was backing her sedan out of her driveway on the north side of Central Avenue and then made a U-turn into the westbound motorcyclist’s path of travel.

The female driver of the sedan as well as the female motorcyclist were injured. The female motorcyclist had such a severe leg injury that it had to be amputated at the hospital. The accident is still under investigation.

“Police will need to undergo a thorough investigation to determine what caused the accident. Many motorcycle accidents are typically the fault of the driver,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm.”
