RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA (January 18, 2017) – A woman was injured after being hit by a train on Pierce Street on Wednesday, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 6:40 am. An elderly woman who remains unidentified was crossing the train tracks on Pierce Street when she was struck by a westbound Amtrak train.
The woman was rushed to Riverside Community Hospital with various injuries, and her current condition is unknown. The investigation is ongoing at this time to determine cause and liability.
