According to the Press Enterprise, a truck, driven by Daniel Garcia, crashed through the single-story home on Tangerine Way into a bedroom where a mother, father, and child were sleeping. The impact pushed the bed – with the three victims on it – through a closet and into another room.
Daniel Garcia, 36, of Riverside, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving with a license that had been suspended for reckless driving.
The three residents suffered unspecified injuries. The mother and father went to the hospital as a precaution. The condition of the child is unknown at this time.
The house sustained extensive damage and was deemed uninhabitable.
