SAN MATEO, CALIFORNIA (October 31, 2017) – Ricardo Seneca Torres was identified as one of the young men that was killed in an accident on Skyline Boulevard on October 31st, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened sometime on Tuesday evening, and the accident location was discovered early Wednesday morning. Initial reports have indicated that Ricardo Torres was driving a 2010 Hyundai southbound on Highway 35 (also known as Skyline Boulevard) near Bear Gulch Road when he lost control and veered off the road. The Hyundai struck a tree, then rolled down an embankment almost 50 feet before coming to rest upright.
Ricardo Seneca Torres, an 19 year old from Redwood City, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The other two occupants of the vehicle, Andrew Gonzales and Matthew Cruz, were also killed in the collision. The accident remains under open investigation, but community members have already begun to come forward saying the roads in that area are dangerous, and prone to serious accidents.
