REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA (February 15, 2017) – A three car hit-and-run accident on Wednesday left at least one person injured on the 101 Freeway, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 7:38 am on the southbound side of the 101 Freeway near Willow Road North. A gray Toyota Camry, a black and white Nissan Sentra and a gray Toyota Rav4 were involved in an accident for unknown reasons, leaving one car blocking a lane. One party reportedly walked away from their vehicle after the accident.

At least one person was injured, and paramedics responded to the scene to tend to those injured in the accident. The condition of those involved is unknown at this time, but the accident remains under open investigation.

“A motorist injured at the hands of a hit-and-run driver is subject to a bodily injury claim against the negligent parties insurance, assuming they have insurance once the driver is caught. If the negligent party does not carry auto insurance, injured parties will still have a claim if the motorist carries uninsured motorist coverage on their vehicle also known as UM,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm.
