REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA (March 9, 2017) – A black SUV was involved in a solo vehicle collision on Thursday afternoon on US Highway 101, according to a California Highway Patrol report. (map)
The accident happened around 1:54 p.m. on the northbound side of Highway 101, near Willow Road. A black Nissan SUV spun out for an unknown reason, crashing into the wall on the right hand shoulder and then landing in the center divider.
The SUV began to catch fire after the collision; paramedics, an ambulance, and the fire department responded to the scene. The condition of those inside the SUV is unknown at this time. The accident remains under active investigation to determine cause and liability.
