RED BLUFF, CALIFORNIA (December 24, 2016) – Patrick Hugh Moran and Robert Lankford Jr were injured and another man was killed in an accident on Saturday on the 5 Freeway, according to local news sources. (map)

According to the article, a 79 year old man from Tennessee was traveling north on the 5 Freeway in a Nissan Juke when he struck a bridge abutment. He then veered into the third lanes, crashing into a 2007 Toyota 4Runner driven by 59 year old Patrick Hugh Moran. The 79 year old man then crashed into a 2002 Ford F-150 driven by 41 year old Robert Lankford Jr.

The 79 year old man from Tennessee was tragically killed in the accident. Patrick Hugh Moran and Robert Lankford, as well as a passenger in Moran’s Toyota, were all hospitalized with unspecified injuries. Robert Lankford is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident, and an investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability.
