BAKER, CALIFORNIA (March 20, 2017) – Ray Mendez was tragically killed in an accident on Interstate 15 on Monday morning, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 9:06 am on Interstate 15 near mile marker 133 near Baker. A 2015 Dodge Journey rear ended a 2007 GMC Yukon, causing the Yukon to veer out of control and overturn.

39 year old Ray Mendez, a front seat passenger in the Yukon, was partially ejected from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
