QUINCY, CA – A juvenile was struck and injured by a vehicle Monday on Highway 70 near Alta Avenue.

California Highway Patrol officers responded to reports of a pedestrian collision around 11:29 a.m. Monday. According to reports, a juvenile was hit by a vehicle and suffered injuries that were not specified.

The details about the collision were not immediately known; however, authorities are investigating the crash further to determine the cause and the liabilities.

“According to experts drivers are responsible the majority of the time for pedestrian accidents. These collisions occur when drivers are careless and fail to yield in a crosswalk or when they turn right on a red light without looking out for a pedestrian,” said a California pedestrian accident and personal injury lawyer.
