PORTERVILLE: 22 Year Old Male Pedestrian Killed after Being Struck by Car Accident on 65 Freeway near Henderson Avenue

“Investigation Ongoing”

PORTERVILLE, CALIFORNIA (March 3, 2017) – A pedestrian was killed in a fatal accident on Friday evening on the 65 Freeway, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 6:30 p.m. on the 65 Freeway near Henderson Avenue. A 22 year old man was reportedly walking in the road when he was struck by a Jeep Wrangler.

The pedestrian was tragically declared dead as a result of injuries sustained in the accident. The driver of the Jeep remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities in their investigation, which is ongoing.

“According to experts drivers are responsible the majority of the time for pedestrian accidents. These collisions occur when drivers are careless and fail to yield in a crosswalk or when they turn right on a red light without looking out for a pedestrian,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm, a California pedestrian accident and personal injury law firm.
